Project – MealMates

Project Overview

MealMates is an application designed to help users plan meals, manage recipes, reduce food waste, and optimize their grocery budget. The project aimed to provide an intuitive interface for meal management and practical features to track and improve daily food consumption.

Users could add, edit, or remove recipes, generate meal plans for the week, and get suggestions for using leftover ingredients effectively.

Platform: Web & Mobile Prototype
Focus: Meal planning, budget optimization, waste reduction
Tools: Figma (mockups), UML (use case diagrams)

What I Learned

Working on MealMates allowed me to explore user-centered design and the planning of applications aimed at daily life improvement. I learned how to create mockups, scenarios, and use case diagrams to clarify functionalities before coding.

Additionally, I strengthened my skills in visual presentation and understanding the requirements of a real-world project, even if it wasn't continued this year.
